Meet Mark Salter

Mark Salter became a Realtor® in 2007, and joined David Strasser's top producing RE/MAX team. By 2008 Mark knew he wanted to offer clients more: he wanted a deeper understanding of finance and the economy, and a superior technology for matching clients with the right homes. Mark became dual licensed with the BC Real Estate Council and IIROC as an investment advisor, but continued to only serve his real estate clients. Mark learned many correlations between financial and real estate markets, and better ways to assign value to businesses and income streams. He then went to work on a three-year endeavor to design and build AREAS™.

Mark received his elementary education at home from his mother, a lawyer, and his father, an engineer and environmental consultant. He went on to win high school academic awards in math, calculus, physics, English, and chemistry, and he was selected as the Canadian student delegate for science exhibitions in Australia. He was awarded several scholarships to the University of Victoria.

Mark is married to Jessica Salter and together they have a son, Tristan, born in 2009. They expect their second child in the summer of 2012. Mark enjoys jujitsu, kickboxing, chess, and reading financial journals. In any spare time he has, Mark enjoys walking to the Dallas Road Breakwater with his wife and son.
